Beth BAILEY, grand daughter of Ernest HUTCHINS and Catherine (nee GARRETT), also has a copy of this photo "which was enlarged from the original found in the attic of the farmhouse where Earnest Roberts and his wife Catherine lived with their family at Springmount near Creswick. As the old house was being demolished the photo was discovered. The family story handed down over time indicated that on the way to the photographer in Ballarat, their carriage overturned and the 'boys' had to haul it out of the ditch. If you look closely their shoes are dirty!" Beth has kindly provided the correct identities of the people shown.

Charlotte Sandow ROBERTS, the second daughter and second eldest child of George William ROBERTS and Mary Sandow WASLEY (QUICK), was born 23 Oct 1867 at Spring Hill. She married 17 Aug 1892 at Springmount Wesleyan Methodist Church, John Henry HUTCHINS born 14 May 1865 Spring Hill.
They met at Springmount Church where John Henry HUTCHINS was the organist.
Charlotte Sandow and John Henry HUTCHINS were great grandparents of Jennifer Burrell.
