George COLE declared that he was a member of the Church of England and Catherine Care HUTCHENS declared that she was a member of the Wesleyan Church. Catherine Care COLE made herXmark as informant and sister to register the death of John Hoskin OLIVER who died 14 May 1873 aged 63 yrs at Spring Gully, Creswick. He was a Miner s/o George OLIVER, a Miller, and Mary ms HOSKIN. He was born in Cornwall, England and had lived 7 yrs in Adelaide and 19 yrs in Victoria. He had been married in Cornwall aged 24 yrs to Catherine MERRIFIELD and had no issue. 'Granny Cole' was an old lady within living memory in the 1980s. Apparently both Catherine and her daughter Rosetta NEWTON were excellent horsewomen.
