Children of Alexander BURREL m 1854 Helen LAW
In 1982 George Albert Burrell published The Life and Times of his grandfather George Burrell (1864-1918) son of Alexander Burrell and Helen Law. George kept a diary of his journey to Australia with his family in 1883. They travelled from Earlston to Galashiels and then by passenger train to Glasgow from where they sailed to Greenoch to board the S.S. Anglo Indian. George became a watchmaker and jeweller in Sydney. Burrell family history from the book is shared with kind permission on these pages.
