Eliza WHITE b abt 1836 Hewelsfield, Gloucestershire. Her widowed mother, Amelia aged 68 in 1871Census. She was born abt 1803 also in Hewelsfield.

In a letter dated 29 Dec 1854 to their daughter Melinda SMITH, George Cox wrote for William and Martha ANDREWS that, "Your brother Langdon is also enlisted in the 30th Regiment and gone to Ireland in the same regiment as Sarah Meredith's brother John, but John is in the battle (of Alma) and a most awful battle it is. God knows who may return to tell the tale."
(The Battle of Alma was fought 20 Sep 1854 to 24 Nov 1854 during the Crimean War in the Ukraine.)
A letter dated 14 Nov 1875 was written to Lin (Melinda SMITH) by Langdon and Eliza ANDREWS from 10 Frogmore Street, Bristol. There is a mention of daughters Florence (Florrie) and Elizabeth and a 6 month old son James George and their other little boy Langdon William who was 3 yrs old on the 17th of March last. "We have got five children now and they are all in fine health." The other child's name was Martha. "Lang is a teatotaler. He has not drank any beer for this 6 years and I hope he will never drink again." (Delcie Barlow collection via Wayne Sinclair)

It was published in the Motoring News 6 Jul 1940 with an account of the journey 37 years ago of the wedding party to the church in their 1900 motor car. Marie Dysart also has a labelled copy in which fourteen people are named. This is truly a family treasure.

Immigration to NZ 1906 with two children (Jim) James Frederick Langdon ANDREWS b abt 1904 England, and (Doris) Dorothy ANDREWS b abt 1905 England.
Four more children were born in New Zealand: Cecil abt 1906, Marjory abt 1908, Adeline Grace (known as Grace) and Elizabeth.
