The Creswick Historical Museum in the former Town Hall has the Family Bible of John and Rosetta NEWTON (nee HUTCHINS). It is a very large book of gold embossed black leather. In the centre are two pages of handwritten family information.
Also on display are two large coloured watercolour paintings by TG Moyle labelled:

2. View of Mr John Newton's Annual Picnic on Easter Monday, Spring Hill near Creswick 14th April 1879.

The NEWTON family grave in the Creswick Cemetery is adjacent to that of John HUTCHENS and Catherine Care COLE. They are both surrounded by iron railings and are located to the north of the C of E Block between oak trees on the western boundary and a stand of pine trees. Both gravestones have fallen from their bases and have been placed flat on the graves which face east. Opposite them facing west are MORRISH family graves.
